Track & Field II developed by Konami, is the 2nd version of the unique sports game series related to the Olympic event. Coming to this series of games, you will be able to participate in the competition in many different sports with computers or other players. A new feature of the 2nd version is the Olympic mode in the game that allows you to choose a country to represent and compete. There are 10 countries and come from many different regions in the world (Europe – England, West Germany, Soviet Union, France, Asia – China, South Korea, Japan, Africa – Kenya, USA, Canada).
When participating in the game, you will be competing in many different sports under 3 game modes: Training, Olympic and Versus. In it, Training is a simple game mode and allows you to explore to learn how to play the sport. Having completed the simple challenges and understood the rules of the sports that will be included in the Olympics. Players can start to experience the Olympic mode. In this mode, you will be able to play PvE in a fixed tournament. The tournament will be arranged with different days of competition. One day, you will have to compete with pre-arranged sports and there are some additional sports in the exhibition event that play the part for players to explore more. Each match will take the highest achievement you have to evaluate and award the corresponding reward. In addition to taking the highest achievements to evaluate, some sports also offer the minimum conditions to evaluate a player’s ability to compete. Failure to meet the minimum conditions set forth in that sport, players will be disqualified from the competition. For example, Triple Jump has a minimum condition for a rating of 15 meters. Freestyle Swimming offers a minimum condition of 50 seconds. Finally, Versus is a multiplayer mode, it allows you to compete directly with other players in different sports. You can randomly select 1 sport and 2 players will compete together to find the winner.
The number of sports available in Track & Field II is varied and each sport has its own competition rules. Therefore, you need to comply with the competition requirements to achieve the highest performance. We can tell from some familiar sports at the Olympic Games such as fencing, archery, 100 hurdles, etc.
