Top Gun Info

Top Gun is a 1987 best-selling game released by Konami. The game is inspired by the movie of the same name. The player’s task is to control his aircraft to destroy enemy aircraft carriers and spacecraft. They will undergo four missions in turn on the flight schedule.

At the beginning of the game, the player will own an F-14 Tomcat fighter plane that is about to take off. They will then be taken to a screen where they can choose one of the rockets the player can use. Information such as the number, weight, and range of the missiles are displayed so they can make their own choices. Players can choose rockets with multiple warheads but have weaker destructive power or vice versa depending on preferences and missions in each mission. In the process of controlling the aircraft, players can destroy enemies by shooting missiles directly at the enemy aircraft. In addition, missiles are their defense weapon. When being attacked from an enemy’s rocket, the player will react quickly to activate their rocket fire. The two rockets will collide and create an explosion zone in the sky. This will make the player safe from attacks.

Each mission will contain different dangers and players will have to destroy more enemy aircraft. They will fly their planes up or down to attack enemy aircraft within range. When moving in the air, sometimes players will encounter opponent’s jets charging straight at him. These planes are very solid and players have to spend a lot of missiles to destroy and stop it. The most optimal method right now is that they have to move to avoid direct contact with it. Being attacked by the enemy or having a strong collision with the enemy’s aircraft will make the player disoriented or may explode the aircraft. When their aircraft is destroyed, they will be brought back to the nearest mission by the system to restart the flight. Completing each mission will help the player’s plane to refuel to prepare for the next mission. Upon reaching the final mission, an aircraft carrier and a shuttle of enemies appear. Players will use all their rockets to attack directly on the base and complete its mission. The sound of aircraft engines and the sound of planes being destroyed will give players an enjoyable experience.
