Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos

Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos is an action game released by Tecmo. Following the success of Ninja Gaiden, the game promises to bring players many new experiences.

After Jaquio’s defeat, Ashtar – an evil emperor devised a plan to take over the world and engulf it in darkness through an evil sword, the Dark Sword of Chaos. To prevent such a plan, a US military agent named Robert T. Sturgeon assigned the task of destroying Ashtar to Ryu Hayabusa.

Players will control Ryu to complete the task assigned. Using the ability to jump and move on walls, Ryu would use his weapon to destroy the enemy. Ryu’s strength and stamina were reflected in an HP bar on the screen. He will lose a certain amount of HP when he attacks an enemy. Ryu will leave the screen if his HP reaches zero or time runs out, but players can still continue their journey from the level they failed to restart by playing the game again.

With his dragon sword weapon, Ryu would attack all opponents by stabbing them. In addition to the dragon sword, players can use items that increase the strength collected when destroying enemies. When using these weapons, Ryu will consume his ninja power. Power-up items that players will encounter are: shuriken; Windmill Throwing Stars is a weapon with an attack mechanism like a boomerang; The Art of the Fire Wheel will throw fireballs diagonally across; Fire Dragon Balls, throw fireballs diagonally below and Invincible Fire Wheel creates a barrier of three fireballs around Ryu that helps him destroy any opponent when touching them. These items will be found in various crystal spheres scattered along the way. When the player picks up a new power-up item, the current weapon disappears. At the end of each area, Ryu had to fight the boss with great power. He will use his existing weapon to attack and destroy it. The boss will be destroyed when its HP is zero.

In addition to the power-up items, players can collect items that are useful for Ryu in battles. Those items are HP tanks, potions, and Scrolls of the Spirit of the Dragon that will bring his power to the maximum. In particular, when the player collects the orange ninja symbol, he will create a copy of him in the form of a shadow. This can help Ryu kill enemies and bosses quickly.
