Similar to the previous 3 versions, each Robot Master will have a unique system of weapons and combat skills. Therefore, you need to calm and overcome many different attacks of the enemy. In Mega Man 4, players continue to choose 1 of 8 Robot Master to fight without exploring in a fixed sequence. From there, you can defeat enemies quickly with many new fighting styles. After defeating 8 bosses in 8 cities, there will be 2 new side quests open for you to end the game.

Coming to Mega Man 4, players also discover a new offensive skill. Mega Man’s cannon has been upgraded with the Mega Buster skill. With this, players can perform energy shots with the ability to deal massive damage. However, this skill needs to charge for a short time to activate. In addition, two new support items are also prepared to help Mega Man reach areas that cannot be moved normally. These two items are Balloon Adapter and Wire Adapter, you can only use these 2 items after collecting all of their parts which are hidden at various locations in 8 cities.

After defeating 8 bosses, Pharaoh Man, Toad Man, Skull Man, Drill Man, Bright Man, Dust Man, Dive Man and Ring Man. You will reach the ice castle of Dr. Cossack. While fighting with him, Proton Man appeared with a girl who was Kalinka, daughter of Dr. Cossack. She asks Mega Man to stop the battle and says she was kidnapped by Dr. Willy.
