The adventurer’s underground exploration takes place in several stages. And to be able to find Xanathar, you need to overcome the dangerous Dwarf and Drow races. In the beginning, the system provides four available characters for you to control and fight against the enemies. But after that, when the story is opened, two new warriors could be recruited, by reviving them from NPCs. Compared to the Dungeons & Dragons 3rd version, this game is like a miniature, when the only classes left are wizard, fighter, cleric, rogue, as ranger and paladin are removed. Warriors can be obtained from many different races during the battle, including goblins, two goblins, orcs, dwarves, guardians, to Gnome. Of course, they all possess unique abilities to exploit. In terms of combat, it takes place in turn, and the view is replaced by Isometric, which is no longer a first-person perspective. Every time it is your turn, you need to use your own weapons and magic to attack the enemies. However, the degree of effectiveness that it brings will depend on the class and ability of each character. During the journey, magic and its belonging items can be collected. They are used to manufacture equipment and bring new technologies. Mostly, levels take place in dungeons on the lower surface of the Waterdeep. You should navigate the character, search for the NPC to accept the quest, and then attempt to complete it. But sometimes, this structure is broken by a few pitfalls. They force the player to solve a few problems as hindering the process. However, if you follow the basic rules of the game, it is not difficult to overcome.
