Disney’s DuckTales 2

After a very nice first episode, Capcom puts the cover back and offers us in 1993 a new adventure of the Scrooge gang. And guess what? The richest duck will have to find treasures scattered around the world! But where do they get all this?

It all starts when Huey, Dewey and Louie find a piece of treasure map that belonged to their ancestor Fergus McPicsou and reveals the location of five ancient treasures. That’s all it takes for Scrooge to embark on a great journey around the world, in search of these lost relics. As in the previous episode, your friends follow you on this journey, always ready to lend a hand. You will therefore find your nephews, as well as Geo, who has a knack for getting lost, and Flagada, who will accompany you to Donaldville to store the treasures acquired over the long term.

Once again, five environments are offered. Piscou will therefore have to explore an Egyptian pyramid, a Scottish castle, a pirate ship, Niagara Falls, and the legendary continent of Mu. Levels still vast and full of secret passages, puzzles, traps and treasures. Fortunately, the time limit imposed by the first episode has disappeared in favor of a more extensive exploration of the levels, allowed we can access in any order and come back whenever we want. As before, you will have to defeat the boss of each stage to recover his treasure, but that’s not all! It will also be necessary to grapple with the hidden treasures (five, against two in the first opus) and on the pieces of Fergus McPicsou’s map, which will eventually reveal an additional level. The adventure promises to be rich!

This sequel to Duck Tales does not just repeat the principle of the first episode: it improves it, enriches it with new features that make it a game of choice in the platform genre. If it is regrettable that the faults of the previous episode have not all been resolved, it must be recognized that we spend a most pleasant moment helping Scrooge in this great treasure hunt, and that is good there the main thing.
